Complex Case Review

Get a Subject Matter Expert Review of your DOT Medical Exam!

There are three errors that a Medical Examiner can make. All of them affect the motor carrier and driver.

  1. “Qualify” a driver who should be disqualified – If there’s an accident this greatly increases litigation risk for the motor carrier.
  2. “Disqualify” a driver who should have been qualified to drive – This causes an unneeded hardship to the driver’s family, and requires motor carriers to expend resources to replace a driver.
  3. “Qualify” a driver who has an acceptable medical condition to drive, but fails to perform the required testing or documentation. Essentially this is the same as qualifying a driver who should be disqualfied.

TeamCME complex case review by Dr. Megehee is available for single or multiple cases when the exam was performed by a non-TeamCME physician.

TeamCME reviews include recommended driver qualification status, consultation with the providing Medical Examiner, information for additional testing, letters to physicians/specialists, and provisions for a plan to manage health conditions that require repetitive testing and monitoring.

**Motor Carriers using TeamCME physicians, incur no additional cost for questions or review of complex cases of DOT medical exams performed by a TeamCME provider.
